Typical Civil War hospital

This is a picture of a typical hospital during the Civil War. Most of the time the hospitals were a table with a couple candles in a tent. Sometimes the doctors were just regular soldiers because there were so many wounded people. Half of the time the doctors did not disinfect their tools, so even more people ended up with infections.

Good website with a map
I found a really good website that has a lot of good information on it. On the opening page, there is a map that shows which states are supporting the confederates or the unions. It seems legitimate and its good, so check it out...
